On April 1st, the Shenzhen Semiconductor Optical Device Laboratory, invested by Mitsubishi Electric (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., was officially put into operation. The laboratory is located within the Shenzhen branch of Mitsubishi Electric Machinery (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in Futian District, Shenzhen, covering an area of 90 square meters. We now have equipment such as BERT, oscilloscope, spectrometer, high and low magnification microscope, etc. According to the existing equipment, fiber end face inspection, laser diode TO-CAN and APD TO-CAN DC characteristic measurement can be carried out.

Recently, the laboratory held an opening ceremony. Mr. Song Gaosheng, Director of Mitsubishi Electric Semiconductor Application Technology Center in Greater China, attended the ceremony and participated in the ribbon cutting. Mr. Takataro Yajima, the head of the Quality Assurance Department at Mitsubishi Electric Corporation's Takahashi Semiconductor Manufacturing Institute, officially awarded the laboratory the "Quality Assurance Analysis Implementation Certification" after conducting on-site inspections of laboratory equipment, personnel, and environmental factors.

In the future, the laboratory will be dedicated to testing the DC characteristics of LD TO and APD TO. We are currently setting up and verifying a 10G AC performance testing station, which will be put into operation soon. We look forward to the establishment of this laboratory playing a greater role in promoting the testing, research and development, and sales of Mitsubishi Electric's semiconductor optical device products, and providing users with better technical quality assurance.
